               MIF Unlocker by SirGeoph

     _`~_{WHAT IS MIFU?}_~----_
MIF Unlocker (MIFU) is a small program that allows you to
set any .MIF file to Unlimited Use and allows the app to be
restoreable. This is great so you can make a back-up of only
the .MIF file and delete the whole app and it's folders off
of your phone, saving valuable EFS (Embedded File System)
space. This also great incase you accidently delete an app
from your phone and re-downloaded it. This way, you can set
it to unlimited use without having to pay for the download
again, since you already paid for it once and deleted it by
accident.

     _`~_{WHAT'S NEW?}_~----_
v1.2.5: Added MIF file browser. Fixed a couple of bugs.
Makes ringtone apps have 255 credits automatically.
v1.1.3: Unlocks MIFs, makes them restoreable.

     _`~_{HOW DOES IT WORK?}_~----_
What MIFU does is changes the last few bytes of the .MIF
that store it's usage status. The last 16-11 bytes of a
.MIF contain whether the app is expired or is unlimited.
They usually are 01 0x 00 00 00 00, where x is either 2,
3, or 4. What MIFU does is sets them to 02 03 FF FF FF FF
causing your phone to read the file as an Unlimited Use
app. And by changing the byte after that last FF to 02,
the app can be restored simply by loading only the .MIF
to your phones root (/) folder. These are common tasks
that many people do in a hex editor, but have been simp-
lified in MIFU.

_`~_{WHAT PHONES DOES THIS WORK FOR?}_~----_
MIFU has only been tested on an Audiovox CDM-9500, but MIFU
has been tested on .MIFs for the LG VX4400 and they
worked fine on the 9500. The .MIFs should work on any BREW-
enabled phone, such as: LG VX4400, Audiovox CDM-9500, and
Motorola T720.

     _`~_{WHO MADE THIS?}_~----_
A guy by the name of SirGeoph did. You can view any and
all updates to MIFU on his website:

contact SirGeoph directly, but he does frequent the forums
at BrewBackups.com, Aeonnfluxx.com and CDMAngels.com.
